Movin' Along....

Checked into the house today! A few changes and it is getting closer to the big day! We found the counters all installed, the toilets, mirrors and sinks installed. The fence posts have been installed so you can really see the size of the yard without trying to imagine this line or the other. The electricity is on too so we were able to see the lighting in action as well. When we walked into the master bathroom, the shower area was completely done now and it looks great as well as the bathroom vanity area. The light switch that was in the path of the stairway bannister has been moved up as well. Things overall are coming together. We finalized all of the loan paperwork so that an appraisal could be done and took up on the offer to upgrade our yard with an irrigation system and sod. Believe it or not in San Antonio they don't do the sod in the backyard unless you pay to upgrade. I priced it out in the area with a few sod farms. It was really bad considering the cost of fuel these days. So going through the builder was a better deal this time. Tenatively we are scheduled for June 3rd for our walk through and June 5th would be our closing date. The tough thing with that was our insurance carrier (State Farm) that had the best deal is now coming out higher because of the rate changes they are making for any new business on June 1st and beyond. There was a 15% increase so we are working to see if they will forgive the 3-5 days or if they will stick to their increases. Our backup was Allstate with an agent I go to prayer group and church with, so we'll have to see where that goes.... You can see the pictures from this weeks changes by clicking here. Enjoy!!!!
